My son knocked over a candle and the wax stained the carpet. My dog also peed on the carpet. I have cleaned up the messes but cannot get rid of the stains. What is a good way to get out pet odor and candle wax stains?

Wax= get paper towel and a hot itron. Place the paper towel over the wax, and then iron over the top of it. the wx will go right into the paper towel in a second.

Pee=rent a carpet scrubber and cleaner from a place lke home Depot. Put hot water on the stain first for about 10 minutes, and then use the scrubber and steamer.

With the wax (burn lots of candles) I actually use an old comb, believe it or not. I comb it out, then I use the best and that Clorox Oxi clean spray. Spray it on, let it set for the recommended time, then go back with a clean terry towel and remove it. If it all didn't come out, then use it again until it does. But in the meantime don't use any other chemical agents on it, as the Oxi clean will be rendered ineffective.

Same holds true for the bad doggie stains. My daughter-in-laws mother's dog used to poop on the off-white carpet. So I took the Oxi with me, and every, single stain came out. There is also a cleaner available at the grocery store that will pull the balance of the color from the candle wax out if the Oxi should fail, but it should do the trick for you. Honestly, I wouldn't be without it.

For the candle... chip away as much of the wax as you can. Then take paper towels and lay it over the remaining wax. Place a warm iron over the paper towels. The towels will soak up the wax as it melts. Keep the towels near by and ready to swap out.
