The equal amounts but the more vinegar you use the easier to clean. But may i suggest something that works great. Take a coffee cup and fill with water and add fresh squeezed lemon . let the water boil and then sit in the closed microwave for 10 minutes. Then take a damp sponge and wipe clean. it works great the more lemon the better. The steam makes it easy to wipe up.

There is some steps to follow to remove the lysol smells. 1. Place a thick slice of lemon on a paper towel and microwave it on high for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Let it stand overnight or until the liquid has cooled. 2. Pour 1/2 c. bottled lemon juice into a microwave-safe bowl or a 2-c. glass measuring cup (if you don't have a fresh lemon) and follow the same directions. You can also dilute the lemon juice with water and add several whole cloves. 3. Wipe the microwave's insides with a paper towel soaked in a water-and-lemon-juice solution. Clean the top, bottom, sides, window, door, door seals and seams. Wipe dry. Note: Keep microwave ovens clean by wiping them out after each use with warm sudsy water (use mild detergent), then rinsing and drying. Caution: Never use commercial oven cleaners in a microwave oven. I think this will help you.

I haven't heard of mixing it for that job. Usually as per instructions in your booklet . You place water 2/4 in a glass 1 or 2 drops of detergent, place in oven turn on low ,until it comes to the boil.Leave about 2 mins. Remove glass etc. Wipe around inside with cloth. If you want a shine, then place a little vinegar on a cloth, wipe over and dry with paper towel.
Ciao.

Put about a cup of water with a tablespoon of lemon in a measuring cup and boil for 2 minutes.
Remove cup and wipe microwave clean with a cotton cloth.

equal amounts would be good but your gonna have a funny smell in your microwave. i would suggest microwaving a bowl with some lemon juice and water in it. the citric acid will remove stuck on mess and smell alot better than vinegar.

One part vinegar to 4 parts water would work, but why use vinegar? I spray the inside of mine with glass cleaner, really soak it, put a mug of water inside and turn it on for a minute or so to "steam" it. Any food that has hardened on will wipe away.
