FORMICA IS USUALLY NOT POROUS, THAT MEANS MOST STAINS WILL GENERALLY STAY ON THE SURFACE (ON TOP) TRY PUTTING BAKING SODA ON THE STAIN AND RUB IT GENTLY WITH A WET SPONGE OR SOFT CLOTH. EITHER CUTTING A LEMON AND RUBBING IT ON IT. RINSE WITH WATER. OTHER THAN THAT HEY I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU. TRY CHECKING A WEB SITE ON HOW TO CLEAN OR RESTORE FORMICA. NEURITIC ACID (CAN BE FOUND IN A HARDWARE STORE) MIGHT BE TOO STRONG, I KNOW THAT IS FOR CLEANING MARBLE & BRICK SURFACES.TEST THE NEURATIC ACID ON THE UNDER SIDE HIDDEN EDGES OF COUNTER FIRST TO SEE THE RESULTS IF THAT IS YOUR LAST RESOURCE!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!! LET ME KNOW HOW IT TURNS OUT. E-MAIL AT syw918@verizon.net

Formica counters and cabinets could properly be wiped clean with gentle liquid scouring purifier, a mild accountability purifier, baking soda, or a pitcher purifier. Wipe them with a moist sponge, rinse and wipe dry. For obdurate spots, attempt a shot of laundry pre-wash spray or a paste of baking soda and water. enable it take a seat for 0.5 an hour, then rub with a nonmetallic scrubber. For a greasy stain, you need to use somewhat rubbing alcohol on your kitchen cupboard cleansing.. If the Formica has yellowed, it incredibly is in all danger the discoloration is led to via prolonged exposure to the sunlight. A bleach based kitchen cleansing product used with a delicate nylon scrubbing pad or a delicate toothbrush could turn your cabinets lower back to white. If that would not artwork, you are able to attempt sponging on a bleach and water answer, yet do no longer bypass away it on there too lengthy, purely a minute or so, then rinse properly with clean water. (ensure which you do placed on rubber gloves and previous outfits whilst working with bleach and ensure to guard surrounding surfaces from bleach drips...

Rub WD-40 on the etched stain. The oil will penetrate the surface made porous by the bleach. I have a dark green Formica bathroom counter that I left some toilet bowl cleaner on. It left a nasty white ring. DO NOT SAND, as others have suggested. Just squirt oil and rub out. Ring will be invisible.

maybe clear the counter off & use the same product on the whole counter to make it a uniform color of yellow.
another solution although a bit pricey is if the location of the stain allows you to do it, buy a counter mount cutting board, saw a hole the appropriate size & mount the cutting board into the counter (we had to do this once & landlord was pleased)

I did the same with Clorox Clean up-- sat the bottle on my new Formica! Oh me.... I've decided to get permanent Sharpie and color it-- maybe more than one color to match as much as possible.
good luck to you
