Check out http://www.flylady.net for some help with this. The woman who created this site hated housework herself and wanted to find a way to get it all done without taking her away from her family time and, well, life. It works by creating routines and making certain things habitual like picking up your "hot spots" on a daily basis. Hot spots are the places in your house that act as magnets for STUFF. For example, one of mine is my dining table. I come home and throw my mail there. If I go shopping, that's where I throw the bags, etc. If I pick it up every day or take care of things as I put them there, I don't have a full table by the end of the week. There are other tidbits as well, like cycling your cleaning through the month so you do a little bit each day instead of cleaning the whole house in one big project.
Check it out.... you might find something there that can help you!

Divide it up throughout the week, a little bit every day. Or while you're doing laundry (for the bedrooms and clothes) clean bathrooms and reception rooms. When the laundry is done, put it away and then finish in the bedrooms. You can get away with vacuuming once a week, but if you have kids or pets I would do it every couple days. Dusting once a week. Kitchen, do the dishes after every meal (including putting them into the dishwasher) , and mop once a week, and if you sweep do it at least every other day. It sounds like a lot, but its just something you have to do. I hate it personally, I wish I could just have a maid and I only have a 1 bedroom apartment. It might take longer at first, but once you get the hang of it, you can work out your own schedule and what works for you is the best.

If you want a clean house you will have to spend more than 2-3 hours a week cleaning. My advice is to hire someone to clean it for you. Other than that, just pick up after yourself as you go along so that it isn't one huge mess at the end of the week.

What I do is , once a week I deep clean the whole house. Mop, sweep, dust...etc. But on the other days, I pick up the house before I go to bed. It takes 30 minutes tops! You just have to stay on top of it and not let it get out of control. Also be sure that everything is organized! Organization is key!!! It makes things alot easier!

try spending 1/2 hour to 45 minutes on each room. Maybe take a lunch break in between times. It helps me if i listen to music while i clean. It seems to make time go faster and the mess gets cleaned up as well.

I try to keep it picked up and then do one thing a day so it does not seem overwhelming. On Monday clean bathrooms, Tuesday -Dust, Wednesday - Vacuum, etc. Do one load of laundry a day. That way you don't feel like you have to spend one whole day cleaning, just a little everyday! Good Luck.

hi, I stay at living house with a relations of 5 and function to in many cases juggle college, our 4 pets and living house cleanup/maintence. What in many cases facilitates out is seperating the chores. For ex. Mon-Landry and Ironing, Tues-Sweep & Mop, Wed-dirt and Wax and Shine Mirriors, Thur-clean bogs, Fri-Small tidding up of the weeks artwork and protecting it kept up. Oh-the in common words concern which in many cases calls for on a daily basis cleansing-is the trash and dishes. So with slightly of success you may by some ability workout a agenda like that-so that you'll a minimum of appreciate your weekends and sense like the living house projects is getting executed in some style. good success and perfect desires!

If you pick up a mess as soon as you make it, it helps tremendously. What we did here was make a schedule for one room each day of the week to fully clean that room, one day for both the bathrooms.

Instead of spending 2 to 3 hours, spend 6 to 8 hours. You will get better at it.

i hear ya girl, I just moved into a 2 bedroom duplex, and i realized how disorganized and messy i really am! I just ordered some organization books from amazon.com for cheap, i saw them in barnes and noble but you can always get them cheaper at amazon, i got what it think is called the messies manuel, it has a blue and green cover, organization for dummies and 1000 quick and easy ways to organize. they are supposed to be here today so i'm really going to try to straighten my house, i think it will be easier if i have books and examples to go by and look at, you might too, good luck!
