My cat knocked over a bottle of bubble bath onto the carpet. I soaked up a lot of it, but what would be the easiest way to clean it up? It is soaked into the carpet. I have a steam cleaner, any suggestions?

Same problem but the culprit was my dog. I used straight white vinegar poured into the carpet and several terry towel piled up, jumping on them to bring the bubble bath to the surface and into the towel. You have to keep moving the towels to a clean spot as the bubble bath soaks into the towel. But the vinegar will break down the detergents in the the bubble bath and dilute it. You will feel when most of it is out of the carpet because it will no longer feel slick. Once it is diluted enough, start rinsing with water. Again, jump on terry towels to force the water up from the padding. Then use your steam cleaner and you won't get a ton of bubbles or a mystery stain later. (I used half vinegar and half water in mine, but check to see whether you can do that in yours. The vinegar smell will dissapate once the carpet is totally dried.)

DON'T use the steam cleaner yet or you will have bubbles everywhere!!!!!
Get a lot of very absorbent bath towels, then pour some COLD water where the bubble bath was spilt ( a little bit of water at a time) and use the towels to soak it up repeat several times, wait a few days and allow the carpet to dry then it should be ok if that spot looks cleaner then do a quick steam cleaner job over the rest so that it blends back in. GOOD LUCK! Just remember to keep the lid on the bubble bath from now on! heehee :o}

Just keep wiping it with a wet rag. Rinse & wipe more. Eventually it will all come up butI I would think running your steam cleaner over and over it would work better. Pour some water on it & suck it up & repeat.

My daughter dumped a quart in our carpet & I bet it took an hour of constant wiping to get it all out.

common. I have been given jet black paint out of tan carpet this style. First, use a moist dry vacuum to upward thrust up as many of the bubble bathtub as you may. Then pour water instantaneous. assorted water, like a gallon and a 0.5. Vacuum it up with the moist dry vac. Repeat. you will likely ought to try this a dozen or greater cases yet, the cleansing soap will come out. whilst your executed element a fan at it and run your air conditioner to dry, and dehydrate the carpeting
