Use bed risers to make your bed a bit higher to fit more stuff under it. Also, buy closet organizers to keep your closet nice and neat.
If you find you have too much furniture but simply cannot get rid of one piece of it, find a piece that you do not use and store it in a large closet. Oh, and - if you put a desk kitty/katty corner in a room, you can store things behind it if the desk has a back to it (like most computer desks I've seen do). For bookshelves, you don't necessarily need a huge bookshelf to store all those books you have. You can stack the books two or three deep, or turn them on their side and you can fit even more! It may not look the most "appealing," but it will save you the money and space of having to buy/have a huge bookshelf.

Get plastic storage containers, stackable. One can never have too many storage containers. The more you can store vertically, the more room you have horazontaly. Consider going to a thrift store and picking up a used chest-of-drawers or dressers and putting it in a hallway, living room or closet for storing small items used often that always seem to be laying around the house, give them a home.
Throw away anything you haven't used in 6months-1year, if unsure set aside and come back to it in 6months, if it still hasn't been used, you know you don't need it.

I don't know but I will watch this post to get some good ideas myself. I have a family of 3 in a 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment and it is really hard. We cannot wait to be in a bigger place. Just use every ounce of closet space you have.

Organizing is the act of rearranging elements following one or more rules. It can also be seeing as the opposite of messing up.
One organized opposite could be disordered, since ordered is almost synonymous. The difference between ordered and organized is that something is only ordered as long as it is both organized and standardized.
____
Guidelines
Some general rules are:
When sitting at a desk, the entrance door should be in a clear line of sight, and you should have a view of as much of the room as possible.
When lying in bed, the entrance door should not be directly facing the soles of one's feet. In other words, the end of the bed should not be in line with the door.
Straight lines and sharp corners are to be avoided, and especially should not point where people tend to sit, stand, or sleep.
Avoid clutter.
Your stairs should never face the front door.
Roads to and from ancient towns were often curved and windy, an attempt to disorient and keep away evil spirits, who were believed to travel in straight lines.[1]
Some objects are believed to have the power of redirecting, reflecting, or shifting energy in a space. These include mirrors, crystals, windchimes, and pools of flowing or standing water.
____
Management operates through various functions, often classified as planning, organizing, leading/motivating and controlling.
Planning: deciding what has to happen in the future (today, next week, next month, next year, over the next five years, etc.) and generating plans for action.
Organizing: making optimum use of the resources required to enable the successful carrying out of plans.
Leading/Motivating: exhibiting skills in these areas for getting others to play an effective part in achieving plans.
Controlling: monitoring — checking progress against plans, which may need modification based on feedback.

Dear you, storage is essential,de-clutter as much as possible ,do not select large furniture, because this makes your home look smaller, keep your walls very light as this creates space.Buy a coffee table with drawers in it for storing cds, dvds, mags etc.If you have a garden you could buy furniture to suit inside and outside.Live indoors in winter and outside in summer.

Look at your stuff and really analyze if you need some of it or if you wouldn't miss it if you gave it away. My wife and I do this every year and it sure keeps the clutter down. Plus, someone out there gets some really good stuff.

Check all your household items and select which one you haven't use for over a year and sell them or give to charity. If you haven't use it for over a year, chances are, you will never use it again.
