What type of pillow? Bed pillows can be washed in washing machine on gentle cycle but you'll need to balance the load with other pillows or something else heavy. To dry first roll the pillow in a giant towel as many times as you can, then I often hang it outside for a few hours if the sun is hot. Then I'll finish them in the dryer until completely dry.

Down pillows the same except I hand wash those.

Decorative pillows can be spot treated. I'm not sure dry cleaners can clean them, depends if the interior can be removed.

My DH sweats up a storm at night so his pillows don't last long even with frequent washing. Some stinks just don't come out. January white sales in stores right now, may have to spring for new pillows.

You should not be cleaning your pillows. Just go out a buy a new one. They're wicked cheap at wal-mart. you should change your pillows every 6 months your tooth brush every 3 months and wash your sheets every week. It gets gross in there

You are able to wash most pillows on a delicate wash cycle. Just make sure to use cold water and don't use much soap. When I wash mine, I wash them on cold then dry them with medium heat for about 45 minutes and see if they are dry... if not put them in and check on them until they are dry. just don't over dry them, they may get too hot and smell of fire when done if they get to hot.
