I heard that you can just normally throw it in the washer and dryer and that even those it says 'dry clean ONLY' it doesn't matter a whole lot. Is this the case? What does happen if I decide to throw into the regular wash?

My kids got Halloween face paint on it, and it won't wipe off with a damp cloth. It originally cost around $200, I called the dry-cleaner and they said it will cost $60 to clean. I think that is way too expensive. Any ideas or tips?

Recently, our vacuum cleaner has started producing a really musty smell every time we use it (quite reminiscent of dog, despite the fact we don't have one).

Are there any ways of getting rid of the smell from the hoover itself? We've tried changing the bag and I'm not fond of air freshners - if you ask me, they smell worse than the hoover!

I have a new stove and Maytag gave me a sample of Cerama Bryte to clean the glass top. Seems like I need a lot of elbow grease to get it shiny. Anyone with a better product which gave you an easier job?
