Cleaning & Laundry - November 2006

The three i hate the most are putting away clean dishes not sure why but washing doesnt bother me but putting them away is so annoying to me, Folding my clean clothes man that job is so dull, and finally taking out the trash, my kids and my father always put to much in the can and it over flows and falls on the floor yucky!

I have this weird smell in my bathroom like a mildew old toilet type of smell. Even though i clean every other day with lyesol and bleach its still is there. I have lit candles and sprayed air freshners, nothing has killed this weird odor. What should i do?

Went out at weekend and some daft idiot spilt a full glass of red wine all over me. White pants!!!(100%cotton) and a cream and green (50%cotton 50% acrylic)jumper. Was going to bleach the pants but got told bleach will rot them so back at square one, as for the top i havent got a clue where to start, please can someone help!!

-------My duvet cover. Its original color is blue (right side) but it's faded whiter (left side), only at the top half which is nearest my head.

-------My towel. Unlike the other two examples, the spotty discoloration seems to be randomly distributed, not concentrated by my head. I have another towel, same material, bought at the same time, but in a deep purple, and it isn't discolored at all.

After a few washes, my clothes look all ragged. Instead of being smooth, these little balls form. And they get all stretched out. Could it be my washer? Anybody have ideas on how to avoid that, before I don't have any clothes left?!

the collar's silk but the rest of my top is rayon so i don't really think it's worth drycleaning... my mother said that sometimes, handwashing silk works, but other times, it ruins the material... anyone know how that works?
