The load needs to be balanced. Try opening up the lid and redistributing the laundry. Do not reach into the washer until it stops spinning. This is similar to the way a vehicle's wheels have to be balanced, to prevent vibration.

I just bought a new top load and it vibrates excessively. One repair man replaced the drum, blamed the floor, improper loading, etc. and said it was the best it could get. with it now making a noise and still vibrating excessively, a second repair man agreed there was a problem , but offered no solution. Whirlpool told me to bad. Went back to store |I bought it from and they agreed to take it back. Our last washer was also a Whirlpool and only lasted 3 years, with one drum replaced under warranty. DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL WASHERS.

your problem is with the footing of the machine. It happens alot. You need to make sure the machine is balanced properly and that it is level. The feet on the bottom can be adjusted for height but it is kind of a pain to get it right. A level will help and a second person really helps but once it is level and properly balanced it should be fine.
Good luck!

When this happen to me, a few times I realized that the wash must have shifted and more clothes were on one side of the washing machine. So I now know that if this happens, just move the wash around, and try to distribute the weight all around. It worked for me.

I know this may sound stupid but have you checked that the transit bolts were removed when the washing machine was installed. I've seen a washing machine almost demolish a whole room where the bolts were not taken out.

Sounds like the clothes are getting off balance when spinning out. I would tell them to come and get it.

Unbalanced load. stop the washer and redistribute the load.

yes i have, and 99 percent of the time, its because i didnt laod the clothes evenly....if you put all or most of the clothes to one side... thats what happens, you have to put even weight on both sides
