The best stuff to use is Sugar soap.
You can buy it as granules or liquid. All you have to do is mix it with water, and use a cloth or sponge.
It removes all traces of grease, and has very little odour.
It's also good for washing floors as well.
Most major supermarkets will sell it,and it's not that expensive.
If you can't find it in a shop, try a d.i.y shop like B&Q or Homebase.
Sugar soap is generally used for washing down paint work, but it can also be used for every day chores.

Flash with Bleach is excellent, but you do need to make sure you have a window open if you're using it for a long period of time!
Also, Kleeneze make a degreaser spray, which is very good.
I've never bought any Cilit Bang, as a) I can't stand the chappie doing the advert (who cares that he's called Barry Scott??), and b) the name is plain ridiculous!
Alternatively, get a professional cleaner in to do the job for you - it'll cost, but will save a lot of physical work on your part!

I don't like Cillitbang. I use CIF for kitchens which is great for cutting through the grease as well as a lemon scented solvent free spray (which I prefer) called Elbow grease which is an all purpose degreaser that cleans fabrics (spray it on a greasy stain on t-shirt etc before washing) metals and plastics
and is great for cleaning cookers. fridges, pvc windows and doors, worktops and paintwork. Not only does the place look clean it smells it too.

I definitely have used Orange Glo and it did an extremely super interest. attempt to get the liquid version. The spay has a tendency to get in all places and could make your floor slippery. Use a gentle textile, like an previous t-blouse or sweat socks and soak the textile. notice to the timber and enable it technique for 10 minutes, then wipe it off with a sparkling textile. If the shelves are in undesirable shape, you may could desire to repeat the technique. you additionally can attempt Murphy's Oil cleansing soap. persist with guidelines on bottle. timber is porous and specific has soaked up the grease so wait and notice and don't harm the shelves with harsh cleaners.

Sugar soap - but it'll need elbow grease too whatever you use. Have a greasy kitchen clean up party! P.S. I would read the "don't use on" bit on the Cilit Bang very carefully - bitter experience!!

Yes it does work well, but you really really can't beat hot soapy water with white wine vinegar in it!!! And for little fiddly spots such as the tops of sockets etc, make a paste out of bicarb of soda and a drop of water in a bowl. Put a cloth around your finger. Dip into the paste and rub it on the greasy spots. It will cut through it very easily!! Try it and good luck for a sparklingly clean kitchen!!!

Cillit bang is amazing for everything,it works wonders in the bathroom too,if you spray it on the shower cubicle, you can rinse it off after 30 seconds.
You want the one for grease for the kitchen though.

Buy a spray bottle of sugar soap and spray greasy surfaces, leave for about 5 mins and then wash off with hot soapy water, rinse and you will have lovely clean surfaces.

Look for a product with ammonia in it. Flash used to do one in a white bottle but I doubt they still do, and who knows what the European Community have banned.
If you use an ammonia based cleaner though, air the room well, because the fumes are quite strong and harmful to your lungs if used copiously.
