Removing Crayon Stains
The best way to remove a crayon stain is with W2-40 (also effective at removing crayon from walls). Spray WD-40 on the crayon stain. Let the solution sit for 3-5 minutes before dabbing off with a clean, dry cloth.
Mix a little OxyClean and water in a spray bottle and spray any remaining stain and repeat until the crayon is removed.

I would first look at what the crayon is made of... different makes are made differently and they might have a web site to help you, or baring that ask a pool table dealer and as a (gulp) last resort you can recover the pool table. It is not hard, merely tedious you have to remove the cushions and then the felt. then replace again the pool table dealer can help you there too.
Kids gotta love them
good luck

I'd say try the Mr Clean magic erasers they remove crayon and marker from just about anything. It worked on perm. marker on a file cabinet for me.
