I enjoy drinking red wine, eating curry and smoking. Are there any great cleaners in the event of an accident ? or is it not totally practical?

Regularly wipe down your sofa with a damp cloth to remove dirt, dust and body oils. Every other month or so you should use a leather protection cream to help resist stains and dirt.
Leather is extremely practical when properly cared for. If you are willing to put in a little maintenance from time to time, I say get that leather furniture you want!

Go to the shoe section in any store and buy something called Saddle Soap. It looks like a shoe polish but it lathers up and cleans the leather without drying it up...it actually puts moisture into it. Then wipe something called Mink Oil on it and u will keep it clean and soft with out spending money on expensive leather cleaners that don't work. All together these should cost you about 5 bucks.

I reccomend leather, but not white. I have a leather sectional thats a cream color, its 7 yrs old and has held up wonderfuly. As far as cleaning its a snap, all you need is warm water, mild dish soap and a wash cloth. I would also suggest that you clean it @least everymonth only for the reason that your a smoker and the nicotin will build up rather fast, other then that you should be good to go!

Depends on how many kids and pets you have. I'd get a darker color, personally, white doesn't seem to practical, especially with your habits. Your white sofa will soon turn yellow with all the nicotine in the air.

I would not reccomend white... especially if you get a cigarette burn on it, it will show up worse than other darker colors. You'd probably have to get it professionally cleaned if you ever got a stain on it.
