I recently had a bat fly into my dryer vent, get stuck, and die. Removing the bat carcass largely eliminated the odor from my apartment, but the inside of my dryer still smells faintly of dead animal. I've tried running the dryer for several cycles with lots of dryer sheets, but the smell still lingers. Any suggestions for getting rid of the smell?

My Mother usually used Cheer, HOWEVER, we were very poor, so sometimes she bought Duz, because they gave you premiums in the box. If we needed a dish cloth or dish towel, she'd buy the small box. For a face towel she'd buy the medium. For a bathtowel, she'd buy the large. They were nice towels, too, although kinda thin. So what did YOUR Mommy use to get your clothes smelling clean and fresh?

These spots appear to be similar to those you see on white clothing that have not been worn for some time. They were not caused by anything being splashed on the doors, etc. Simple wiping does not remove them. Any ideas?

I don't know if it's mold or mildew, but it's black and in the corners of the tub where the tub meets the tile. I've tried a cheap bleach gel pen but it didn't work. What's the best thing you've tried?

Is there anything in or about liquid laundry detergent that would make it dangerous to use on dishes washed by hand? I am asking because you can get a huge bottle of liquid laundry detergent for a couple of bucks whereas a smallish bottle of dish detergent can run almost as much.....

So if there are no safety/health issues I might try it....

Thanks,
Alley

My husband & I both smoke & have beige curtains in the livingroom. They are about 72" long and I have 3 sets of them. Every time I wash them only half of them come clean. It's like brown streaks, when I hang them they look brown & beige striped.

I've tried a bunch of cleaners but nothing is really working. It has a black face on it so some of the newer more harsher products I cannot use.
