Not normally unless you have money..but i have been known to pay the neighbor girls to come and do work for me,,what every i didn't have time for...but besides that no i don't have a maid..wish i could afford one....hehehehehe

Families that live in expensive or holiday homes often do. We dont wear French Maids outfits though!!!! I am a very good cleaner and often give out tips to other people, currently looking for an extra 5hrs a wk work in Cornwall.

Some people who can afford it or who lead very busy lifestyles have a cleaner come once or twice a week, but I think they would be offended if they were called a "maid " as that conjurs up a feeling of being a servant. We would just call them cleaners and most of us would treat them as equals as they provide a valuable service. Most people, like me, do the work themselves.

No, I've never heard of anyone who did, and I even know one or two posh people. So we probably don't have the problem over here that I've heard of regarding immigrant maids e.g. Philippinos being abused sexually or otherwise by Saudi Arabian employers.
