Ready to be surprised?
Use WD40. Seriously.
For a list of all the things WD40 can do do a search on the Internet for it and also hydrogen peroxide.
You will be amazed.

Try Dawn dishwashing detergent, its fairly mild, and really does cut the grease. Fill sink or a bowl/bucket with warm water and add the Dawn, saturate a dishcloth, and wipe over the grease, trying to leave behind alot of moisture. Let it set then wipe up with the cloth or maybe paper towels. Sometimes leaving the rag over the spot for a while will help loosen it

If you can use a bleach cleaner, or straight bleach, that's what I use. Maybe a bleach gel? But I've used this cleaner that has orange in it.....Orange Glo...something along those lines. The orange based cleaners work really well. Let it soak on there for a while too. I've had to do that before and got better results. I hope you find something that works. Good luck.

I just cleaned mine with Easy Off oven cleaner.
Spray some all over the top, let it sit a moment then wipe clean.
It removes the deep set in grease stains.

First of all be prepared to work at it a little.
Then take equal parts cream of tartar and hydrogen peroxide. Make a past and let it sit a minute and the grease will come off. It's amazing and wont' scratch anything as long as you have a scratchless sponge with a scrub side. good luck.

Anything with citrus in it is gentle and works quite well (like orange glo). You can also make a concentrated solution of Joy and water, put it on the grease, let it sit for a little while, and wipe it off with a damp cloth. Joy is designed to cut grease, and it is also very gentle.

Absolute best thing I have ever found...first spray with straight ammonia and then use a steamer, like a Shark.
You can use just the steam but the ammonia breaks up the grease and makes it easier to wipe off. If you don't have a steamer, use boiling water and a clean dry cloth.

hi michelle .. it's a good question. you can try these things:
1- some vinaigre
2- a brush full of sodium bicarbonate and then you put a twist of lemon you will get a weak acid wich is not harmful for human but good with stains on metals
3- you can use some salt
4- I have seen also on discovery channel that coke can remove stain form chromium .. it's really effective
then remove it with water

I've had really good luck with an orange based cleanser. The orange oil seems to really penetrate the grease. Plus, it's pretty mild.
Hope this helps!

get as much of the grease off of the stove as you can with a sponge and soapy dish water. You can remove the rest with comet scouring powder.
wear gloves if you have a manicure.
