We want to put new skirting boards in, but there are unsightly pipes under the rads, which run along the top of the existing narrow skirting, can you buy moulding or special skirting that will cover the pipes?
Thanking you in advance

....found that if I put my meter from the black wire to the ground (bare) wire I had 120 VAC. Is something hooked up wrong? It's powered by a switch that has two black wires going to it.

Inherited from my deceased great-aunt two years ago. The plant was so big it broke the plastic pot and is now in a clay one. I'm not so much concerned with the lack of blooms, and I have done extensive research on the care and keeping of Christmas cactus. I would propagate it but the plant itself isn't big enough to harvest cuttings.

The fronds broke off about 6 months ago and all that is left is a 6in 'Y' stem with one segment. The stem is woody and firm; a piece broke off the other day and I saw that it was green on the plant, but the piece was dried out so I discarded it.

The root ball is firm, the roots themselves are not soggy and have a yellow-brownish color.... turgor is good.

I have been overly zealous with watering so today I rinsed off the root ball and it is on a plate in a warm area so it can dry out a bit. The soil is extremely wet also.

Are the roots still viable and does the plant sound as if it's still alive?

I have this metal handle bar in front of my house that when I touch, I ALWAYS get a static shock. Because of the low humidity and my coat, this seems to always happen.

What can I do to the metal handle bar to get rid of the shock? Any good suggestions?

My Vaillant Ecomax 824E Boiler has gone on the blink: no hot water or heating!!!!!!!!!

Help!

The fault code F05 is flashing on the screen!

What do I need to do to solve the problem myself?!

Please don't advise me to ring up someone to help - I don't have the money. (it is outside of the 7 year free service and maintenance period)

Cheers.

the temperature is minus 1 outside - im so cold .help!

the manual says Fault code F05 means 'interruption of DHW heat exchanger NTC (NTC3)'

'possible causes: 1. loose wire/poor connection to NTC3
2. defective NTC - replace NTC3'

help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

NTC3 is the temperature sensor!

My husband and I just bought our house and we CANNOT afford gas heat. We'd much rather have electric heat, but we really dont know how much it would cost or how to go about getting it done. If any one would reply to this we'd REALLY appreciate it.

I have been trying to figure out the rose variety of a certain rose for some time. my local florist sells them but when i asked the name they did not know. it looks almost excactly like the rose in this photograph but it is more orange with red tips rather then yellow with red tips. any clues as to what type a rose this might be? http://www.flickr.com/photos/ranhar2/130247924/

I've got all the wax out of it, but now I don't know what to do with such a nice jar with such a nice, tight lid. It's too nice to just throw away. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Last week my son put a plastic toy in the heat register (it's the electric type of heater, attached to the baseboard of every room of our apartment, not forced air or anything like that) and of course it started to melt. We caught it pretty quickly and got all the visible plastic cleaned out, but the smell of melting plastic is still very obvious. Is there any way to get rid of the smell or do I have to let it "burn off"? I don't want my son sleeping in a room that is reeking of melting plastic, but it also gets too cold in there to leave the heater off. Suggestions?

I was told to get 4 cycle motor oil for a snowblower I just bought. The only oil I could find was 4V and the store selling it said thats the same as 4 cycle oil. Is that correct?

This must be dangerous.Should i have been told this when i brought the house, 4 years ago? Its not just the earth wires its the whole electrics, all messed up.
I think the man who lived here before tried doing up the house on the cheap,as he trades as a "builder" but has left this house in a hell of a mess.
Is there anything we can do to get it rewired for free as this costs so much and must be against the law?

Good Morning,

Lately looking at "Fein Multi Purpose Tool" System.

I know WHERE to purchase, so please save those words.

I also know a general price range, but certainly E bay starts them low.

The Q more relates to anyone owning such, or their experiences with such.

One of the features is what I'm curious about (Oscillating), as it relates to Tile and Grout cutting. Currently a Diag. Grinder with a Diamond blade creates more dust than I want.

Thanks to all, Happy HollyDaze
