I have been trying to figure out the rose variety of a certain rose for some time. my local florist sells them but when i asked the name they did not know. it looks almost excactly like the rose in this photograph but it is more orange with red tips rather then yellow with red tips. any clues as to what type a rose this might be? http://www.flickr.com/photos/ranhar2/130247924/

There is a rose as you describe, called 'Remember Me'. sometimes roses sold through the florists are 'Hot house', roses and don't go well in the garden, be careful which varieties you buy.

Being one of those local florists, when we order that rose it is called tropicanna, like the sunset, yellow with orange tips...the one that is yellow with red or hot pink tips we call confetti..both hold in the bud stage a long time and never fully open which makes ideal for vase arrangements.
