is it true that if u vaccum up pine needles from a christmas tree it will start on fire?

ive ehard this before =] but i guess it depend on the type of hoover.

I recon older hoovers this may of happened once of twice, or maybe a freak accident, like the motor jammed and caught on fire because there was a needle stuck in it somehow,

I doubt this will happen to you thgouh =]

Another urban myth. While pine needles are flammable (they contain pine resin), they will not ignite spontaneously.

pretty unlikely. pine needles are no more flammable than carpet lint, that's for sure.

christmas trees are inheritantly dangerous! the bible even says not to put them up in our house! cf. Jer. 10:1-6;-

no i don't believe so i mean i vacuum them and nothing happens and i have been doing that for a while now
