The "ceiling" cracked and WATER dripped through it a short time ago. I have looked through the YELLOW PAGES, asked other people and looked through "advice columns," but to no avail. Please, please help me with this most "serious matter."

Clothes are getting dry normally but cold air is coming out of lint filter area. I can actually feel the mild gush of air when I place my hand in this area. The clothes get dry OK but are cold. The laundry room is colder than rest of the house (outside temp is 25 F). What is the problem, please help!!

I want to hang the lights from the brick part of the garage. Since I had my house painted, I hesitate to put staples into the wood.

You know, those wires with the white fuzz on them. Can you get them at Walgreens? Safeway? Or do you have to go to a tobacco shop?

Thanks in advance.

A year ago, we installed a washing machine that does not use hot water from the water heater. It's got a built-in heater.

Today, I need to replace the hot water tank and I need to know how to calculate the size I need in consideration of the fact that it is not used for laundry purposes. What is the equation? or do you know a site that would explain the different things to take into consideration?

No resale consideration here. This is our last house and we are just trying to make it as green and cheap to live in as possible.

Thanks

Building 30X50 with 10' at truss rafters building and want to make part of it 20X30 insulated living quarters. Want to coffer a portion of the ceiling to reduce height and cubic footage to be heated and cooled.
Steve, feel free to pitch in here.
Do I use 2X4 for hangars, plus for the smaller coffer framing, or can I use 2X2 or firring strips? Would be drywalled then mudded and stomped for texture.
Advice? any websites out there with instructions?

damage the tiles? I have a dod that pee'd on my tiles in a corner and I poured some Mr. Clean solution NON-DILUTED directly over the area. I plan on letting the Mr. Clean solution sit and dry for a little while, and then going over the area with a mop using water and vinegar.
Any thoughts on if any of this will damage my tiles? Will this clean and sanitize the pee from the dog?

but I am not familiar with any brands other than Calphalon. Are there any serious cooks out there that can give me some kind of direction as to what to look for and what are the better brands? I am trying to stay away from "Nonstick".

Hi all

I've got a problem with my combi-boiler

When cold the boiler is at about 1 bar. But when hot (65C) it shoots up to 3.5/4 bar. The red line is at 2.5 bar so I'm guessing this isn't a good thing?

This is a fairly old boiler.

Any ideas?

Thanks for any help.

Steve
