a 5 months ago my roof TV aerial fell off into my garden, i phoned up a company and explained what had happened they quoted me £30 for repair when the engineer arrived he said it would cost £80 for repair i refused to pay that and offered £40, he fixed the aerial, 2 months later the aerial fell off again but i was still recieving a signal so didn't worry about it until i found it in my garden yesterday, the thing is the aerial is covered in black tape which wasn't there before so i paid £40 for him to stick it on with tape, i phoned the company today and they said that i would have to pay more money to have the thing fixed i refused but the engineer reported (on the 1st visit)that my aerial was in bad shape (which it isn't) and that i would need to replace it so my gurantee isn't worth anything which means another £80, what can i do? i've tried speaking to the company and got nowhere and im not giving them anymore money please help

I'm rather fond of them and I was planning on buying seeds from the internet and growing them here. I know they come from northern hemisphere type climates and I was just wondering if it really was possible to grow them here would I need a special type of soil, equipment or etc.? Tips on how best to grow and care for them would be a great.

I have cleaned it with soap and water with a no scratch scrubby, but as soon as it dries you can see something still stuck on it and it wants to stick in same spot when i try to use it. This is/was a brand new electric skillet made by G.E. My hubby decided to do some cooking with it when I wasn't there!!! GRRRRR :( How can I REALLY get this stuff off without damaging the non-stick surface? I'm pretty sure surface is ok underneath because if i scratch pretty hard with my fingernail, it leaves a line in the residue. Thanks ahead of time ...proxy

And for all you jokers out there....."keeping hubby out of the kitchen" wont help me now cuz the damage has already been done. for whatever its worth ...I HAVE threatened him with bodily harm and "cutting him off" if he EVER messes with it again!!! Laterzzzz proxy

I saw a bottle hanging in a tree that spinned when the air blows...but not sure how to cut it to make it spin.
Got any other ideas or know how to make the spinning bottle above?
(It was made from a green bottle ie mountain dew)

I do believe in saving the environment and support the greenpeace organization. Any ideas welcome!

The pipes are starting to rattle - and they are starting to sound like bubbling water.

Do I need to drain the pipes?

If so, how do I refill them?

Thanks!

I signed the lease contract for the studio flat before I got to see the cleaned and fixed one. Previous resident lived there for over 10 yrs and this place looked like someone was dead in there.. It had a strong smoking odor and closet was so old fashion it did not have a mirror. But this will all change accordin to the manager.
So my question is, I absolutely do not want to live on that same carpet. How would I check if the carpet has been replaced?
What things can I do to see the the carpet is new and the odor has NOT been covered with new paints and etc..

Hi. We recently purchased a condo a few months ago. It comes with a fireplace which we have yet to clean. We do not plan on ever using the fireplace for fires as we have mounted an LCD television above the fireplace. We DO however plan on using a candelabra with candles. Do I need to fork out some dough to have it cleaned? I would rather not, since I can do the actual fireplace myself, but was wondering if the chimney needs to be cleaned at all. Thanks!

without it being REAL obvious to the landlord? for example: put cat fecies in the floor vent [ you have no idea where the smell's coming from until you look reallyyy good]. && if you have not heard of it or witnessed it or done it your self to a trailor, do you have any good ideas? remember it can't be obvious like...burning it down or writing on walls.

YES WE HAVE THE WORLDS WORST LANDLORD!!!(she digs through everyone's garbage also) LOL

Now that this semester is over, I have time to decorate my room. I have been wanting to do something with it, but with college and work I have not has any time till now.
I have white walls ( i like them, simple and clean). I just think that the walls are too bare. I did a poster on cardiology a couple of weeks ago to put on it, and another poster about neurology. Other then that I have this quote by Dr. Cox saying "Nothing in life worth having comes easily."
Other then that all the walls are completely bare......
any ideas?
I am in to all medical stuff (its hard to find posters related to it though)
