I know it should be thrown in the trash, but I don't want the pressure of other trash to crush it and then tear the trash bag. I'm thinking about smashing them into small pieces and burry them into the ground as a compost but I think painted glass takes forever to decompose. Any suggestions?

My husband is a major Packers and Brewers fan. Last summer we started going to games and loved tailgating. I decided to get him a new portable grill. They have some Packer grills but it'll cost around $100 and I really don't want to spend that much if I don't have to.

So, I was thinking about buying a regular portable grill and maybe getting some Packer and/or Brewers sticker to put on it. My concern is, will the heat make the sticker come right off?

a couple weeks ago our kitchen was overrun with ants. we tried EVERYTHING, cinnamon, coffee, the little ant iggloo things, listerene, dishsoap, vinegar, corstarch, we dusted the yard several freakin times. finally putting bay leaves everywhere seemed to put a halt to their exploring. Now.... as of yesterday they are back and in bigger quantities.the kitchen is spotless! i tried new bayleaves, vinegar.... i tried drownding them with maple syrup in a bowl because i read it somewhere online. didnt help. thats gone now but the more i wipe away, the more show up. now they feel it neccisary to bite me when i wipe them up. my hands are covered in bites and money is a little tight right now so we cant afford a expterminator at the moment. what else could i do?? what else is there to try!!!?

We're having a problem with the bathroom plumbing. For the past few days, anytime we flushed the toilet a gurgling noise would come from the sink. Tonight we're having a hard time getting the toilet to flush at all. We've plunged and plunged and have gotten the water to go down once, but every time we flush it just fills to the brim and plunging is helping less and less each time. The most recent discovery was that there is now water standing in the bathtub and no one has had a shower since about 9pm (Central). We don't know if we're connected to the city sewers or if we have a septic tank, either, so that kinda limits my ideas. We NEED HELP! PLEASE!

I have plans for a winter party in late December, but I live far from anywhere where snow might ever even consider existing; fake snow is in great, great demand and I've sort of got a reputation to keep so I'd like to accommodate and please everyone, but I can't find any way to obtain it save for buying a rather expensive snow machine.
I really just want to fill a moderately sized backyard with water-based fake-snow. (Artificial stuff will doubtlessly be set on fire by drunkenly dropped cigarettes, and this concerns me.)
How can I best go about obtaining this goal?

The water in the tank is full and it fills up the tank but when you flush it, it seems like there is not enough suction to pull down the toilet paper. the water does go down in the bowl, but very slowly, not enought to pull anything down, but the bowl does fill back up, it has been plunged many times. the pipes sound hollow when you plunge it.

Okay, I'm in a very small apartment, Think studio, with a tiny room attached for a bed and the bathroom.. ~.~, Married to a media loving husband, so in our one room, 2 computers, tv, many game systems, keyboard, and tons of dvds/cds........ we have a wall of bookshelves, with nothing but books/ and cds etc... and barely room for a couch......

I want a nice looking place and to decorate for christmas o.O;; but how can i decorate over so much media and clutter? without spending too much money? (im poor...)

i want to hide the bookshelves, at least, i can ignore the media area......... the bookshelves eat up the whole room......
any ideas how to hide them a bit? o.O;; does adding a curtain rod with drapes over them sound too tacky? is it possible to "decorate" for christmas over the clutter and media things? (our furniture is far from nice) ..... lol does tinsel over a cluttered bookshelf sound bad? a snowman on a cluttered comp. desk?

would love ideas, ^_^

Like put it in a central closet or garage, and run hoses through the walls, and have it so it can be activated from the point of use (turned on). How would you wire it for that? My shop vac is SO powerful, I could build a stand for it up off the ground, and run hoses somehow. The one that comes with it is not long enough, how could you adapt a hose length? I only want the simple fittings, nothing fancy. Any ideas?

I am installing a new range hood in place of an old over-the-range microwave/hood, and trying to use the existing cutouts as much as possible. The previous owner didn't use too much care in installing, it's basically a rough rectangular hole in the drywall and a bit of snipped round ductwork (just the width of the wall) that goes directly outside. I want to fabricate some sheet metal to gracefully use the existing outside vent. Will this be a problem? Should I instead go ahead and cut a big hole all the way through and install a new vent cap? Thanks!
