a couple weeks ago our kitchen was overrun with ants. we tried EVERYTHING, cinnamon, coffee, the little ant iggloo things, listerene, dishsoap, vinegar, corstarch, we dusted the yard several freakin times. finally putting bay leaves everywhere seemed to put a halt to their exploring. Now.... as of yesterday they are back and in bigger quantities.the kitchen is spotless! i tried new bayleaves, vinegar.... i tried drownding them with maple syrup in a bowl because i read it somewhere online. didnt help. thats gone now but the more i wipe away, the more show up. now they feel it neccisary to bite me when i wipe them up. my hands are covered in bites and money is a little tight right now so we cant afford a expterminator at the moment. what else could i do?? what else is there to try!!!?

haha. well i would also bite if trying to be killed.
i tried to be nice and not kill them just make them leave, but it didnt work. :). i have small children in my home on a regular basis, so i really want to stray from harsh chemicals and posions. we found their original spot of entry, and sealed it. they seem to have found a new one.

I've heard that boric acid (Borax) found in the laundry isle will keep ants away... Just be sure to keep away from children/pets.. Also, if you can find where they are coming from and plug up the hole w/ caulking or foam that may help as well.... Go through your cupboards and seal ANYTHING/EVERYTHING that the ants might get into... Cereal, pasta, flour etc....

I'd bite you to if you were trying to kill me... Good luck

You can get ant spray in a squirt bottle. Spray the cracks where the come in . that will keep them away for months.

You could use boric acid. Boric acid is poisonous to ants acting on their exoskeleton, and is not harmful to human beings.

Look for a product called Tarro; they will take it back to the nest and kill them there!
