32" inch exterior door and the other a six-panel Mastercraft 36" inch door. The problem is that the bottoms of the door touch to close to the sill and won't shut. I have followed all the instructions online about shimming and installing screws through one of the screw holes on the hinges and nothing seems to work. I leveled the bottoms before putting the doors in and the surface was adequitely level. Does anyone have any suggestions what I could do before I have to hire someone to get them to shut?

when we painted the walls in our house the paint bubbled off the wall. i waited for them to dry and they would eventually go down. in the areas that bubbled the paint peels easily. ok if i want to repaint do i strip the walls first? my mom said that there was wall paper that the previous owners didnt get off and thats why it did that, but i think the walls may have too much old paint on them, im not a profecional so i dont know. what do you think we should do when we paint strip the walls if so what to buy, or just paint? thanks!

Hey Y'all, I just got a new winter and summer squash recipe in which the directions say to pierce and cook the squash in the microwave until barely tender. I'm using a butternut squash in the recipe, but I've never cooked one in the microwave and I need to know how long it might take to get to barely tender. Has anyone ever nuked a squash? How long do you think it would take? I know how to cook them in the oven, but I think this is supposed to sqeed the process because the recipe is to saute afterward. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

My son has seen him on the roof of our house several times
at night. Last week my son went up on the roof to do some
repairs and he found droppings from the opossum. He said
it was a mess to clean up. It is also eating the food we leave out for the wild cats that hang around our property.

My husband and I are buying a house that has a set of stairs with no bannister on it. It's completely open on one side, so I'd like to install something so as to keep us from falling or sliding off the side. Is it easy to do it yourself? If not, how much would it cost (just approximately) to hire a carpenter to do it?

Thanks for any help you can give!

I'm trying to avoid a trip to the store. My washer stopped working, mid cycle, full of water. I'm trying to find the best way to empty it. I don't have very far to go because I have a sink in my laundry room. I'm thinking a siphon would be easiest. I have a garden hose but it's 50' long and I don't think that will work.

I am trying to attach a wooden gate to my garage. I can't bury a post because there is a concrete sidewalk there and don't want to have to bust into it. I have old cedar lap siding so finding a flat wall is also an issue. There is a stud behind the lap siding however where I want to put the gate.

I have wood now, but I think I'd rather go back to linoleum. It was easier to care for and took up less of my time.

I have a Troy-Bilt 21 in. 0650 series push lawn mower with a 6.5 hp Briggs & Stratton engine. It starts fine and then stops at regular intervals. You have to prime it again and then it will run a while and then stop. I have replaced the spark plug, the air filter, changed the oil and no change in performance. What should I try next?
