Spiders like an undisturbed environment. If you are diligent about knocking down their webs, they'll move on.

But, if you can stand to, allow a couple to stay. They are wonderful for keeping even less desireable bugs under control.

First create and maintain at least an 18 inch barrier around your home from foundation to roof free from debris and foliage. Second using a moderately stiff bristle brush remove the webs and egg sacks from the home. Third. Seal as many of the small cracks and gaps as possible. (clear silicone works great.) using a product like Orthos Bug B Gone. (read and follow the label directions) around your home keeps the spiders food supply diminished. This should be applied at regular intervals (per label) Lastly, place small mouse sized glue boards in secluded areas typically around water sources and in closets to intercept any that may enter.

You can't exclude them. They can get through the smallest opening(when they are babies). Regular cleaning, I use a vacuum, it takes awhile if you get the smallest. Especially get areas where they usually are even if you don't see them because the smallest are nearly invisible.
