We have a front load washing machine and when we put a load of towels in they come out stinking! So we rewash them again and they still smell a little bit. So we tried putting a smaller load of towels in and it still didn't work. But if we mix like a few white towels with white clothes it comes out clean. What could be causing this? Any suggestions?

I have mice in my house and I can't get rid of them. I put down poison, they ate some then stopped. I put out glue traps, they caught some, but the little buggers got off it somehow, they left some furr behind (I have only caught 1). I tryed the killer ones that snap their heads when they eat the PB, they eat ALL the PB without setting off the trap. These little things are sneaky. Anyone have any advise? We have a dog that loves to catch mise and other things, but he misses them cause they get behind something he cant get behind. and he would eat a cat, so thats not an option. HELP!

I want to break my lease because my house is just extremely unlivable. i have been there for almost 2 months and i have had my garage door break already, my purse was stolen from my house, the carpets have a very strong urine pet smell, the bathtubs have mold on the edges and there are house ants all over my kitchen all the time. My kitchen faucet leaks constantly, and whole house is just very uncomfortable to live in. Not to mention it is a bad yard.

We had a storm a couple of nights ago that blew down a ton of walnuts off my tree. The husks are still green, with no cracks. Are they ripe? Will the husk still turn black so I can take it off? and will the nut inside be edible?
I just need to know if it's worth keeping them or if I should dump them in the woods and wait for the rest to fall naturally.

I've heard that if you take apart a drill (DeWalt, Makita) from one of the big box retailers and compare it to the exact same drill from the manufacturer, you will be surprised with the quality differance. Is there any truth to this or is it all hogwash?

Dig up current tarmac driveway, which is pot-holing and lay new. Approx size 120 metres by 10ft....
Obviously this is a question which is "how long is a piece of string", but I just need an idea. If you are going to be sarcastic then don't bother answering and grow up... To those 'adults' that may have a clue I just need an idea.. £2k, £5k, £10k etc...
Many thanks.

there is this old bush in our yard, don't know what it is called, but when it blooms it looks like little groups of flowers and smells like oranges. My question is how to root peices of it. I have tried planting cuttings in soil. Putting cutting in water, I even put a pot of dirt under the branch, and put a brick on top thinking maybe the branch would grow roots into the bucket. Nothing seems to work. There are no little ones growing around it to dig up and plant. I even have tried useing a plant hormone in the water of the cuttings or the soil i have planted them in. Any suggestions?

My Patio door came off runners at new house last night, managed to get it back on and lock it so it is secure. However on closer inspection in daylight, door that slides is rotten in bottom right hand corner (Outside) and looks like this is affecting running along track. Can this be sorted by a joiner by replacing rotten wood. Or is it a knacker job. I really cannot afford to replace whole door as loads of jobs need done around house (bahroom kitchen etc)

A plug socket has been knocked out at home and some of the plaster has crumbled around the edges.

Do you think we need an electrician to come round and have a look or would a handyman be more relevant?

The wiring hasn't been damaged.

Thanks very much!
