Unfortunately, it's there for life!
If you do make any attempts to remove any of this cigarette scent that's trapped then you will risk damaging the vinyl and cd. Vinyl and cds are delicate, fragile items that need to be handled with extra, extra care!

The best method I have ever used is baking soda or vinegar. But in order to not ruin the vinyl or the CD, I would put them in the fridge or freezer, add a wet newspaper close to them as possible and leave them overnight. The wet newspaper somehow absorbs all of the orders. (It will help if you have fridge odors too!)

My husband is an Audiophile and he cleans his with 90% or higher Ispropyl alcohol. Use a soft brush, like a fine-bristled paint brush. Spray with the alcohol and wipe with a microfiber cloth and use a dry microfiber cloth to dry it. He has NEVER ruined a record or CD using this method!

use Oust, do no longer use an air freshener which will make it worse, or wrap some coffee in a tissue and positioned it at the back of the radiator, coffee is a organic deodoriser and it additionally will smell intense-high quality :)

Try boiling some water with vinegar in it and holding them up over the steam a safe distance.

I might call a local restoration company and see if they have an ozone chamber. Tri-atomic oxygen might help.
