I have mice in my house and I can't get rid of them. I put down poison, they ate some then stopped. I put out glue traps, they caught some, but the little buggers got off it somehow, they left some furr behind (I have only caught 1). I tryed the killer ones that snap their heads when they eat the PB, they eat ALL the PB without setting off the trap. These little things are sneaky. Anyone have any advise? We have a dog that loves to catch mise and other things, but he misses them cause they get behind something he cant get behind. and he would eat a cat, so thats not an option. HELP!

Mice enter houses through heating and ventilation ducts, from under floor boards, along plumbing or broken air bricks. They usually build their nests near a good food source and most of the time forage at night, eating the first morsel they come across. So I can suggest this. Keep all your foodstuff in tight lidded containers, sweep or vacuum at night or when ever you are finished in your kitchen or dinning room. Plug holes however small , with cement or plaster reinforced with wire wool. Put down bigger traps , use chocolate and cereals, nut´s or better still a strong smelling sausage like salami or Spanish chorizo sausage, they won´t run off before eating this, In-fact they wont be running anywhere.. Place the traps at right angles to the wall, with the treadle towards the wall. Making sure your dog can´t reach this area,( good dog) , to avoid catching your fingers use a pencil to move the trap in place. Alphakil is a quick acting humane and safe mouse -killer, others include Rodine "C" or Ratak. The rentokil Mouse -killing System includes three bait boxes and a poison bait. Just make sure your dog does not get near these things. Hope this helps you a little. PS oops , almost forgot , make sure you lift the dog´s food dish when finished and drinking dish, like this it´s less for them to eat or drink

set out traps everywhere, against as many walls and cabinets as you can they can't ditch them all, if there is to much PB on the trap it weighs it down and doesn't snap as easily, Less pb to get them there and bam. make sure the trap is level. don't use poison cause your dog could get hurt.

here is a recipe to get rid of them that is non toxic.
2 tbsp ammonia
2 cups hot water
2 eggs
2 cloves garlic
2 tbsp hot chili pepper
mix all ingredients in a bucket and let sit for several days, then pain onto fences, base of walls, under house [if reachable] anywhere the critters are running, except inside [phew] it will run the off, can also be applied in a sprayer for more broadcast coverage.
