Dig up current tarmac driveway, which is pot-holing and lay new. Approx size 120 metres by 10ft....
Obviously this is a question which is "how long is a piece of string", but I just need an idea. If you are going to be sarcastic then don't bother answering and grow up... To those 'adults' that may have a clue I just need an idea.. £2k, £5k, £10k etc...
Many thanks.

My neighbor just asked for a quote on a driveway one car wide by about 40 feet long. She was quoted $2600 (remove existing driveway, do not add additional base, apply a level of asphalt appropriate for a home driveway).

Since she has a kid starting college next year she decided to just live with it without repair.

meters x ft???? what a mix. The cost should be around $1800-2200 if your existing drive is a suitable base. The cost comes in when they have to remove your existing drive to establish a stable base to lay the new material. This can add another $3500.00 to the job.

Get a reliable contractor. As you might suspect, the "fly by nights" are out there selling water base sealants (topcoats) and putting it over anything. Then, there are the more lucrative rip off artist who being in their dozer and lift off a completely satisfactory base drive to get the extra bucks and utilize their expensive equipment.

Careful, careful, careful. Ask neighbors who have had good experience and don't experiment on your own you will pay dearly.

I am sorry, Its impossible to give you an estimate. The only person that can do that is the person who will do the job for you. It all depends on the thickness that a worker puts down. The thicker the better.
All you can do is get as many quotes as possible and go for the one who will do more and lay thicker. Not necessary the cheapest one.Sorry I cant help you further.

Cheaper than you've been quoted by that bloke who knocked on your door and said they were just doing some work up the road and happened to have a spare bit of tarmac left...
