I have numerous house plants that are dusty and dull looking. What can I use to clean them gently? I remember years ago someone said a cotton ball with mayo on it - ever heard any such thing? Misting them just makes them look worse - it doesn't clean them!

My husband's birthday is coming and he's been always wanting a gun nailer. We already have a compressor so a gun-nailer compressor compatible will be ok.

Can you tell me what brand I should pick?
What are the things I need to check before buying one?

i have a selection of flowers outside my home (we live in sw florida) that have a bug problem, i thought they maybe spider mites but i am not sure. it starts as what looks like a small white cotton ball on the tips of the flowers i have been spraying with 3 in 1 insecticide and fungicide but it doesn't seem to be helping at all, is there something else that would work ,maybe something natural and not a chemical. I am not sure what the flower is it is used in planters and borders and the flowers close up at night die off, and new ones open in the morning. they spread very quickly in their pots are rather pretty to look at .

Do trees grow from the bottom or top? In other words, if you painted an "x" on a tree five feet from the ground and then returned ten years later after the tree had grown 10 feet, would the "X" be in the same place (5 feet) or at 15 feet?

Our baby knocked over a glass of red juice onto the carpet in our rented property. We have tried to remove the stain but have been unsuccessful. Our landlord has suggested we use a professional cleaning firm, so I have someone coming out this afternoon but am pretty sure from the conversation I had with them that they will be unable to remove the stain. The carpet was old when we moved in and not in perfect condition. It has bumps in it and a small square of carpet had already been cut out and removed. It is a very large carpet as the room downstairs is a through lounge/dining area and I simply cannot afford to replace that amount of carpet. Am I liable for a full replacement or only for the section of carpet which is stained? As far as I am aware, my landlord does not have insurance and neither do we. Thanks

Assuming we would purchase the trim & moulding ourselves, does anyone know the labor cost? For instance, X amount of dolloars per door, for floor trim, X amount per foot, and for crown moulding, X amount per foot?
