the older home i moved into was infested with roaches. they were EVERYWHERE, it was horrible. i put boric acid in the "wet rooms" and lots of roach motels and i also used roach gel. i took off the switch plates in the rooms for that.

after 2 weeks i've seen maybe two. there are a hundreds of dead ones in the cabinents, etc.... which of course i'm going to clean. i'm just wondering, did they make it back to the nest and kill the others? or do they see their dead friends and just hide out for a while? i'm serious. thanks for your help.

I had landscaper plant 11 white pines in back yard... fairly moist area and I watered them frequently. The landscaper planted some high with bottom sticking out of the ground. The landscaper also failed to mention to me I needed to cut back the shrubbery behind the trees. I am not dealing with the back of many of the trees dead and I can see many trees pines are that dead brown color in the inside of the tree... some have brown on the tips of the pines. I hired someone to cut back the shrubs so more sunlight is getting to the back of the trees, I put mulch at the bottom of the trees especially those who had some roots on top of the soil....but I am afraid it is too late. Is there anything else I can do?

I'm not talking about those thin horizontal blinds you see at old motels, but the wooden looking kinds. Most apartments use vertical blinds, but I've seen the at fancy houses too. The horizontal blinds I'm refering to are the wider ones. In your opinon, which one looks classier for an entire house?

My fiance's dad is giving me and my fiance a house that we are moving into in a week. It was my fiance's grandma's house. She had a ton of cats in the house. The pee'd and pooped everywhere in the living room and kitchen floor. I am trying to get the urine as well as the smell out of the house completely. What is the best way to go about that?

A basic tower up to gutter height costs £1500! Why not make your own with wood bolted together. In the far east they use bamboo tied together.

Im trying to do the envelop trick on my birthday card.

NO ITS NOT A SPOILED AS IT SOUNDS

Im worried my grandma sent an exuberantly amount of money. (Shes on my mothers side) and my dad gets pissed at her for doing it beacuse shes been sending checks like every other week to me and my sister for no reason.

He hates it beacuse I can't have a job and he thinks shes helping me ect.

So If its a huge amount (Like a few hundred, mabey even 1000) I think hell flip, so I was gonna cash it and slip in a few 20's to be on the safe side.

Shes sent 1000 before (When I was 17 and I paid off my car with it) he was PISSED.

So its all for the greater good.

It is blocking my view, and the roots are beginning to poke up through the lawn, plus I am bothered about where the roots are going as it is fairly close to the house. I am presuming I cut it faurly close to the ground and apply some kind of chemical?

Hi experts - I am trying to sell my condo after a divorce so alot of the furniture has already been moved out. Unfortunately the condo looked 10x better with our furniture in it so I'm trying to figure out a way to get nice furniture back in the place temporarily, just for the showings until it sells. I feel like I have heard of some kind of service like this before, however I can't seem to find it on the web. Does anyone know of anything like this or have any other suggestions?

Thanks so much for your time and help!

Hi everyone, I'm hopeless at gardening & looking after plants, but would really like to grow my own tomato plants..after eating some pretty tasteless ones bought from the supermarket today. Please can you advise when the seeds need to be planted.. is it possible to use the seeds from tomatos or do I need to buy seeds in a packet. We have a conservatory and I was thinking this might be a good place to grow them?? Thank you.

I am interested in buying a tractor / lawn cutter. The majority of the use will be cutting grass but there might be minor hauling involved. Whcih make / model is a best bet for this type of work? What HP should the engine be? I am looking at a 42" cut on the blades. So it is a medium size tractor. Thank you.

I bought some new doorknobs, but realized that the holes in the doorknobs are too small for them (my house is old). I also have a "doorknob kit" for my electric drill, but the hole-cutter it comes with has a drill in the center that just wont work for a door with a hole already in it.

Is there a special tool for this? I don't want to have to resort to nailing a piece of wood to the door. I don't have time to repaint!

Thanks for any help?
