Two days ago, my Hotpoint refrigerator began making a loud buzzing noise - similar to a hockey buzzer - when the cooling cycle begins. It lasts about 3 to 4 seconds and then quits. The refrigerator and freezer are cooling fine. What could it be? Thanks for your time.

I took a hat into a professional dry cleaning store and when I came to pick it up it was 2 sizes too small. I went in the next day to discuss what happened and they said there were no directions so they just washed it and would not do anything for me. They told me when I dropped it off that they dry cleaned hats all the time...

I am remodeling my bathroom and would like a fan that will vent through the roof. This is normally not a big deal, but I'm a little unsure how to properly seal the vent to a metal roof. Is there a product designed to do this?

I have someone who is willing to do fencing for me.... 5' cedar for $17 per foot and $180 for each gate.

I have no idea if this is cheap or not, but seems expensive... they sell the whole 8' set at home depot for like $35

It was performing as it should (hence motion detector) and lately the light just comes on and stays on. I have tilted the sensor and tried changing the timer.

I can't leave it on all the time, the light is just outside my bedroom window.

What's the dealio here? Any ideas?

i need something to make the weird color of the resin repair look a bit 'prettier'. what kind of paint is longlasting, doesnt chip or come off in water, and at best is tranlucent, because an opaque color would stand out on a glassed board.

The tap where the washer's water hose is connected to is leaking slightly. It is not dripping on the floor if you have it closed, but if you touch it, it's wet.
Should I call a plumber or is this something I can fix with some sort of paste or smthg?

some water had built up in a wheel barrow and we found hundredsof little animals swimming in it. They are about half an inch long, a reddy brown colour and wriggle constantly unless taken out of the water when they then curl up. Does anyone have any idea what they are and if they are harmful to any plants in the garden?
