i need something to make the weird color of the resin repair look a bit 'prettier'. what kind of paint is longlasting, doesnt chip or come off in water, and at best is tranlucent, because an opaque color would stand out on a glassed board.

Once you've resined it you're pretty much stuck with the colour.
If it's a small repair try nail polish.
Make sure the area is totally free from wax, and wipe it down with rubbing alcohol or similar to clean it.
Let it thoroughly dry before you apply another coat.

The only other thing you can do is tint your resin which is a pain.and most likely now you will end up with a thick spot on your board if you go over it again.
Or you can sand the repair out and start over.

Why do you want to paint it and then remove it? There are plenty of types of paint that will stick, an epoxy based paint but not so easy to get it off
