We will also have terra cotta floors, on the orange side. A little funky yes, but it's for our finished basement. No beiges or browns or greens, please!

I’ve been getting these really odd orange stains on my pillow cases and I just can’t figure it out? My girl’s pillowcase is fine, but mine always seems to get these stains. I never use bleach, so what could it be? Toothpaste remnants from my drool? Face lotions? I can’t figure it out? It’s happened on both brand new sheet sets from Ikea 200 thread count. Please help! I think my girl is freaked a bit and thinks I’m an alien.

I need to rip a 1" x 4" in half, and I'm not sure how to secure the piece of wood...if I clamp it down, the clamps get in the way of the saw. Does it make sense to screw the piece to a scrap board and leave enough overhang so that the saw blade can travel? There has to be a better way, right?

I live in a 2 person dorm (in college) and I am trying to get a good, clean workspace for me to use strictly for homework and studying. The only problem is excess clutter. I have a lot of needless junk that I can't find other spots for. On my desk, I have a lamp, clock, a small organizer with pens and pencils. I have a laptop so that saves some space. But I have wires for everything to charge. I have 3 drawers with general items in them, along with one for my college books.

I want to know where I can put all the other junk on my desk, and how do I keep it clean and organized?

This junction box in my attic is linked to a 20 amp breaker in our electrical breaker box outside. From my understanding, the white wires are nuetral, the black and red ones are hot, both black and red together would make 220/240 volts. so if i add a 120 outlet and use the white and black or white and red,i should get 120 volts, right?Does this mean this 120 outlet will be rated to 20 amps like the breaker? Help would be much appreciated.Thanks.

How much would it cost to convert a house to solar power? Also, is it an effective means of power? I guess what I mean by this is would you have to change your lifestyle to use less power or could you still have washer, dryer, ac, fridge, computer, etc.
