Yes this is dangerous. Do not attempt to use it, until it has been serviced.
They are pretty inexpensive so replacement may be cheaper than repair/

my under the counter LG microwave has no power... if I take the filter off and tap the bottom of the microwave the power will go back on.. after I use it and shut the door..the power goes back off. could it be a lose wire and can I access it without taking the microwave down? The power outlet works fine.

are you sure its not just the light that comes on when door is opened ? and goes off when closed,? i don't think the inter safety lock could let it start when door is open,
thats the porng thing that sticks out of the door,

YES... microwaves are bad for you. they basicaly cook your skin when exposed. don't let it run with the door open. MV ovens usualy cannot be fixed due to their construction. if it is running while open, junk it and get a new one.

never heard of it. are you sure that is what is happening? do you hear it start up when you open the door? if so, heave it. it is dangerous. should not happen. check again and step back.

Yes; very dangerous; get a repairman out right away.
It sounds like the switch is messed up.

yeah their is much danger. the beam can blind you. It seems to me that someone maybe have a wire backwards. easy to find out. just unplug one wire at a time till it stop doing that then reverse them wire.It could be the wrong switch has been installed. The safety switchs are important.do not try and overide them.

Are you sure its not the light comeing on when you open the door ? but if that is true have it check out I dont think you want to start glowing

You can pick up a new one at WalMart for $60, and it is 1,100w. We just bought one.
