Cut off the bottom stitched hem at bottom of legs. Razor cuts, slashes across knees, poke holes where you want holes, sandpaper pockets, seams. Add bleach to water or straight bleach "splattered" over jeans, dip leg bottoms in bleach. Let it bleach until happy and then run through a full rinse cycle of machine. Split side seams of pant legs, add fabric inserts or grommets laced with leather laces or safety pins, the sky's the limits. Use a cheese grater.

The more you do, the more you wash them the worse they get. Hope this helps. Have FUN.

there are a lot of stores that carry that look now, but it is really easy to do yourself with your own jeans that costs a lot less than running our to buy new ones.
If you want discoloration you can mix bleach and water and put it where you want it on the pants. It works really well, just don't go crazy.
If you want holes that are frayed or hems that are you can use a seam ripper or scissors and cut a hole slightly smaller than what size you want it to be and use your fingers to pick at the strings to help pull them out a bit, then launder them and it will fray more. The same with the hem. you can cut it, take it out or take a scissor blade sideways and pull the hem tight and scrape it until it is how you like it.
hope it works for you.

Levis - Cheaper IMO. They sell it at Wal-Mart. Levis probably lasts longer, but the clothes I get at American Eagle last pretty long, too. American Eagle is more stylish (WAY wider variety) Reason: personal experience, duh :) Aeropostale has a few cute things, I have a shirt that I LOVE from there. Don't own any Levis, and American Ealge is one of favorite stores, but I don't like their jeans because most of the jeans I buy from there have some sort of defect. I have 3 pairs and only wear 1. The legs are all twisted or they fit until I get them home and can't squeeze my butt into them. Their sizes are not true to size or whatever, IMO. Same with Aeropostale, most of the shirts I've gotten from them are twisted. The one I was talking about that I love is a cami..

We used to bring ours down to the ocean and dip them in the salt water and let them soak in a bucket for a few days. The salt would eat away at the blue dye and give them that worn in look.
But I like that other suggestion. Wash them and say out loud, "I hope these don't fade or fray!" I got a good laugh out of that. Good luck!

You could try washing them & saying out loud, "I hope these don't fade or fray". That seems to do it for my jeans. Or you could try sandpaper. I heard of someone who did this. As for fraying, take the hem out.

Or take those jeans and wait 10 years...

I know a friend who uses hammer. She just hammer it until the cloth looks worn out.
