Swamps are an important part of the wetlands ... they filter the rainwater and runoffs from agriculture and residential fertilizers and pesticides. As the effluent goes through the swamp many impurities are filtered before the water reaches the underground water that eventually becomes part of our well water and municipal water systems. Be grateful for the purification that a swamp performs ... perhaps it symbolizes the beginning of a purification?
