It's just a standard shower bath combo. It's not metal or porcelain. I'm not sure what it's made of. Any thoughts?

I used to hang those button to cabinet hardware towels, and use them. Think that will take away from "new" kitchen. What type of towels do other people use to wipe hands and where to put it?

The spots look like black ink spots. They seem to be powdery because now they are all over my carpet. Is there an effective way to clean my carpet? Can steam vacuums help? Will I have to call professional cleaners to clean them? Any kinda help is appreciated!
Thanks

I do not have a dishwasher, so I wash dishes with a sponge. It seems that no matter how well I rinse, or dry it out, it smells HORIBLE within a week. Is there a trick to keeping it from smelling rancid (other than buying a new one every week)

Small galley kitchen with Bisque maple cabinets in the shaker contemporary style with bisque appliances. Stainless steel sink, chrome faucet. Light ivory, cream granite (Bianco Romano) with garnet flecks. Tone on tone look. I like oil rubbed bronze for hardware but think chrome or satin nickel would be more modern and tie in the sink/faucet. Also since kitchen is small I was wondering if I could mix handles and knobs for visual interest since color scheme is so neutral. Or would that look too "busy"? Any input would be great. I haven't picked paint or back splash. Overwhelmed!

What is that wooden shelf called that people build around their toilet to hold towels in a little cabinet-shelf-thing. I need to buy this but don't know the name of it and WHERE to buy it.

Please add websites or pictures so I have a better idea.

I will be planting daffodil and tulip bulbs next week. We have tons of squirrels in our neighborhood. What do I do to keep them from digging them up?

My sister has requested a "good" iron for Christmas. How on earth do I know a good iron from a not so good one?? I have no idea what to look for. (And yeah, I figure a good one costs more, but I don't want to pay more for something that isn't any better, either!)

Maybe it has to do with all the hard water, but hotel towels seem to dry you off with just a quick wipe! Anyone know what the secret is?

We dried a fluffy blanket in my dryer a couple of weeks back, and the dryer basically stripped the blanket of all the fluff. Now the dryer heats up the clothes when we use it, but it doesn't dry them at all, until we have run the clothes through it a few times. We have taken the back of the dryer off and cleaned out all the lint, and mad sure that the dryer exhaust isn't blocked, but it still isnt drying much. Is there anything else we can do to try and fix the damn thing?
