I will be planting daffodil and tulip bulbs next week. We have tons of squirrels in our neighborhood. What do I do to keep them from digging them up?

Lay chicken wire or hardware mesh over the ground after you plant, held in place by u-shaped wire "stakes" so the squirrels can't get to the bulbs?

I find that the squirrels stay away if I sprinkle soap shavings over the bulbs and lightly cover with dirt. This works especially well in planters.

Feed the squirrels. Mine never dig up my bulbs.

You could put other things on the other side of the yard to entice them that way away from your plants. Corn on the cob works fantastic. Unless your looking to get rid of them permantly...I have no good advice for that. I say corn on the cob!!! They love it.

Set a feeder along side a tree, then fill it with sunfower seeds, like the ones the birds like and they should leave your dafodils alone then.
