I need to know how to wash my backpack. It has light dirt on it, I've had it for about 2 years. I've never washed it before. It's light pink all over, and has 2 bottle holders on the side. It says on the tag, DO NOT WASH IN MACHINE, and don't use detergent, and hand wash only, but I need to know HOW to wash this backpack.

I've found a site online that sells high-quality, weather-proof, artificial flowers. They are expensive, but they last for a long time. I want to plant a few along the front of the house and in some window boxes from second floor windows. Is this tacky? I'm not a gardening girl, to me its just another chore.

I am having my kitchen floor vynled layed but the fitter told me my concrete floor needs to be screeded. It is uneven because we have had work done in the kitchen ie.walls took down ,to make it a larger kitchen. What i need to know is what compound i need to use and the best way to go about it .Its still not a large kitchen so i would like to do it myself save getting a builder in .The main reason i need to get the job done quickly for the fitter will lay the vynl as soon as the floor is suitable.

We have a chain link fence along the edge of our property. Weeds, kudzu, honeysuckle have taken over the fence almost entirely! How do I begin to clean these off? It would take a ton of weed killer to kill all of this stuff and even then, the plants are so wrapped around the fence, I am not sure how I would get them off. Any ideas?

I don't know why but over the last month or so my bathroom has become home to a million spiders! I am petrified of them so I really want them out...I don't care how 'helpful' or 'harmless' they are, I want rid! I have had four in the bath and three running around the bathroom floor (not at the same time obviously, or I would have quite literally died of fright) There aren't any windows in the room so I'm guessing they are coming out of the plug hole (if possible) or the extractor fan What can i put down to get rid of them? I tried a crawling insect repellant, which got rid of them for a while, but it obviously wasn't permanent. I really don't want to save their lives or their feelings I just want the buggers dead and gone. Has anyone else had this problem?

My boyfriend just bought an old bayonet and it has a lot of oxidization on it. He tried all of his polishing and cleaning products on it but it won't come off. Anybody got any ideas that won't harm the metal?

I've been living in a crappy *** apartment for the last 7 years. It is far better than the last ones I've lived in, experiencing cockroach infestations, maggot infestations, termite infestations, bad housing, bad neighbors, etc. This one isn't too good either though: Flea infestations, horrible neighborhood, etc.

Ever since my mom died, we've gone down hill and we haven't been as clean as we used to, if you consider the condition of the apartment at first when we moved in as "Clean".

Well, now we have a house party of some kind of fly or moth laying maggots every now and then on our food shelf. I asked dad if we can all band together and clean the damned apartment. He hasn't gone around and helping yet. My brother isn't of help either. Plus, he doesn't want to move for one reason or another while me and my brother begged to move.

Now my question is this: How do I rid of the flies and maggots efficiently, cheaply, and quick? Moving is out of the question.

Our garden area near the outside door has a problem this year with millipedes. We have it under control with insect spray and they die off quickly. The problem is that dead millipedes (we are talking hundreds or thousands) give off a strong disgusting odor. Does anyone know of a chemical etc. that we could put in the garden to neutralize the odor. We do not have the time to daily dig up (damage the flowers etc.) and bury hundreds of dead millipedes.

My neighbours have always been difficult, and have two jack russell dogs that are continually snarling and growling at our fence. To try and cover the fence and put more distance between us, i have grown jasmine up it. Whilst we were away, they have cut down what has grown over the fence and thrown it back into our garden. I wouldn't have minded so much if they had asked first. I know if it was fruit trees they are supposed to throw it back, but they have never mentioned it before. Does anybody have any ideas on how we stand?

On the tag it says machine wash COLD and tumble dry low.
I was just wondering that if I wash it with cold water, wouldn't the shirt STILL be a little dirty even after the wash?
(I usually do machine wash warm but I noticed shirnkage...)
Thanks

I have a problem with my 5 ton A/C. I replaced the broken fan motor with a new one and the A/C system began to work fine, but after about 5 minutes it stopped. Can someone please help me, is it the fan motor itself, which I highly doubt, or is it the compressor that has to be changed? Thanks.

BELOW IS MY LAST QUESTION PRIOR TO ASKING THE ABOVE...............

I have a 9 year old 5 ton commercial air conditioner on the roof but suddenly no cold air. The mechanic said compressor is bad but another guy said fan motor or the blade is the problem. Reason is the fan only gets half the hot air out of the building and the rest is left intact inside the building.

Can someone tell me if this is a reasonable explanation of why the A/C doesn't work? What's the life expectancy of a compressor?

I have a 2 story home in Fort Worth texas that was built in 1996. It is in good condition. (ie windows are good and no obvious air leaks) The AC is the original unit. It's over 104 degrees today and my A/C has been running nonstop for days. It is not able to get the temperature down to 78. It's usually around 80 to 81 degrees inside.
I'm from So California and not sure what I should expect out of my AC unit. I would have thought that it should be able to push it all the way down to 72 if I wanted it to, but it can't even do my setting of 78.
Am I unrealistic, or do i need to have it serviced or replaced?
Thanks!
