u dont say where u have these mites.
Mites mainly live off dust an dead skin cells. So the most important thing you need to do is get rid of as much dust as poss. Vacum ur furniture and carpets. Dont forget ur bed. That also needs to be vacumed on a weekly basis.

Just to add to what Pumpkin said:
You can get a mattress cover and pillow covers that are hypoallergenic and also help keep mites away.
Changing your bed linens weekly also helps keep the mite population down.

Are you confusing biting mites with genital lice? A doctor can prescribe you Lindane to apply to the area down there.
