ok it has an L shape with cabinetry from wall to wall and ceiling to floor, wall oven, gas range seperate, double digital door fridge, double sink, dishwasher, wine cooler that sits in a 6 foot island with a chefs sink, and then has a breakfast bar attached to it. the kitchen measures 30' * 14', ALL appliances are stainless steel and some of thecabinets have glass doors. THERE IS NO tile granite or real expensive cabinets. everything is just standard cabinets, formica countertops and laminate flooring...so what would you pay BALLPARK since you cant see it?

Can I just hand wash them, dry them and put them in those ziploc storage bags? Will that keep them from turning yellow? One is new and one is a family heirloom and I want to make sure I pack them up correctly. Any suggestions?

My mom has sugar ants in her kitchen-billions of these suckers. And they come and go. She has brown and black granite countertops...so it makes it really hard to see them. Sometimes they are there,,,and then others they aren't. We can not figure out where they are coming from-we've looked in every crack and drawer and none are there...and then bam they are everywhere. Does anyone know how to detect where they are coming from or any kind of homeade sticky trap we can make to capture them? I was helping her w/her laundry this morning and the dishrags she used to clean the kitchen-there were millions alive in it, and apprently she didn't see that she had wiped them up. We have to do something, but don't know where to start. Please help!

There used to be two in my old high school. They're boards with a cutting tool at the end which you lower onto the board to cut. The board is usually grided to help measure. At target their were some for more or less $10, but they were made of plastic and looked cheap. n I basically just want to cut strait. I've heard of one that the company replaces the blades for free, or maybe at discount. That replacement type probably will be hard to find, so any should do and hopefully there are good reviews about it.

What are some ideas what to do with this? I have little experience on these things. Should the well be filled in or remove the stone that surrounds it. The stones wouldn't really hurt anything in the ground would they? What would be the cheapest option? The well doesn't have any function it looks very very old.

I want to build a home on my own land, not a "full-sized/normal" home but something about the size of an apartment.
The question comes down to if I'm allowed to wire my own house and/or if it's as efficient (and legal) to buy a natural gas generator and use extension cords behind the walls.

What are the costs involved in and most realistic ways to get water and electricity into a house? How much would the cost of doing such things measure up against the price of building materials (IE wood and cement for the foundation)?

I have a picture frame made of glass and the edges are a bit sharp. Does anyone know the best, easiest way to fix this without damaging the frame? I'm afraid of getting cut when handling the frame. Thanks.

What do you do with all the little gifts people give you and they don't go with anything in your house. When they come to visit they will look around to see if I have displayed them. What do I tell them when they don't see them. Generally everyone knows I don't collect them.

Help, I am trying to replace a 10 yr old pool pump with a new Hayward 1 1/2 HP unit. I need a recommendation on how to remove the union that connects the pump to the DE filter. My issues is that when I turn the union (assuming counter clockwise is correct), and also having another wrench securing the threadeded side connected to the filter, the threaded side connecting to the pump will tighten until it cannot go anymore. If the union piece is only supposed to turn then let me know. otherwise the hacksaw is comming out to seperate the pieces (LOL). Also thinking of using strong flex tubing & clamps to connect once I remove.

This is India where corruption is maximum. Me and my family owns a bungalow(house). The house has been standing at the position since 7 years. Now, we have found that the builders of the house had tried to fool us, by not properly doing the work. The pipelines for the flow of water were not fitted in a proper base, i.e. the base was not proper. Now, we have come to know that the pipes had started leaking and the sand/soil had started to be dampened by water. I know this should not happen, but it so happened that the water went in the soil and the soil went down, creating a space between the marble and the soil. So, we have found out that to make this proper, we have to, um, sort of, renovate the whole thing, by breaking the marble and filling the place with soil and then, attach new marbles. We can always let it go like this, but the cavity may increase and one day, the floor of that region may collapse.

So what should I do?

I just moved into a home which has some landscaping. I don't know what is here and how to care for it! I remember using a type of book as a kid that would ask questions to help identify living things. (Does the plant flower? Yes or No; Does the plant have simple leaves? Yes or No. etc) What type of book is this and/or where can I go to identify these plants?
