I have an electric range and would like to switch to natural gas.I have a hook up already for a gas range but don't know if i need special range hood or ventilation system...Please help!

No. Only Dryers, furnaces and water heaters that are gas, require vents. Range hoods are nice to remove food smells and grease from the kitchen but not required either.

It's not necessary, but I do know some people who insisted on a range hood just because it was gas. I like using a range hood with a true exhaust, but as I said, it's not necessary.
