how do i get rid of ants in my apt? My maintenance people can't seem to do anything about it.?

This works wonders for all types of ants:-
You can buy Borax from from the supermarket (500g tub with a red lid & Picture of pots and pans on label) Antrid also contains about 90% Borax and honey.

Ants love this mixture they take it to their nest and kill off the whole colony by bloating (reaction of Borax & Ant's stomach acid)
Now mix 1:1 Borax with sugar, add a few drops of water (don't dissolve mixture). Ten place in balcony or window sills for ants to carry away and consume.

Boric Acid mixed with a sugary substance like honey or syrup does work. My brother had a serious problem with ants. Tried all kinds of sprays. Finally he mixed boric acid with pancake syrup and put in a paper cup tapped to wall or molding above where the pets could get to it. Few days and the ants were gone.

If they are carpenter ants (huge black ants), you'll need a professional to come in and exterminate. If they are the small ants (typically called sugar ants), buy Combat brand Quick Kill Ant Formula. Plan on using one box for every room in your apartment. You should see results in about two days. Worked for me.

Get you some Boric acid, they have it at Wal-Mart in the setcion where they sell ant sprays ect. Put the powder under the fridge,stove,under sink ,every crack. It works!!! (make sure kids or pets can't get in it)

Buy some bengal ant and roach spray, the best i have ever used. will work for about 3 months.

Get some bleach and pour a line of bleach near all the entry's to you home (e.g. front door or back door). This always stops them from coming inside your house.
