The internet is sending me in circles, so I thought someone here could give me the right answer. I have drywall in my garage that I need to finish taping, I think I use primer first, then paint. But what kind? Regular interior paint and primer or what? Thanks all!

Econo-Rooter came to my house today. $85 to clear a blockage of Charmin tissue. I've got two small kids, who are scheduled for retraining on single-use quantities. (How many squares do you need?)

My question is, if you use Charmin and have kids (or have another member of the household who leaves a large paper trail), do you do regular maintenance to avoid those $85 bills?

I know there are chemicals at the store and I've read remedies like flushing a bowl of boiling water once a week, but I'd really appreciate personal experience here.

This is the most horrible job ever. Surely anyone who ever had to pull this junk up, would never, ever put it in a house again! Anyway, my question is...After you grt it up, the floor is torn to shreds from the parquet sticking to the plywood and taking layers of it up with it. What is the next step? Do you just lay the tile board right on top of this bumpy plywood, or do you need to pour leveler over the entire floor? Anyone that's ever been here done that, please help!

Our house is only 1 year old so the toilets are basically new. 2 of the 4 run but not on every flush. The tank is overfilling so the water goes down the overflow tube. When I pull up on the float the toilet shuts off like it's suppose to. The toilets are Kohler and the float is on a post. Is there a way to adjust this type of float?

My husband decided to clean the drain in the garage with CLR. He spilled some on the cement floor and after cleaning it up noticed how dirty the rest of the cement was. So he had me do his project and clean the entire 2 car garage cement floor with CLR. I tried mixing a solution like the directions said and it didn't make a difference. Then I tried full strength and the CLR didn't spread well. Then I tried moving it all over with a squeegie and that didn't matter either. Now my garage looks like I spilled milk all over it. Very blotchy. Any ideas on what I can use to clean the cement and get a good even clean look?
Should I put any kind of sealer on it since I stripped it with CLR? I'm just told to do these kind of jobs on my day off and I don't know what to do next.

Have waited way to long to ask this question but still need to get this done. I applied deck sealer a couple of months ago using a garden sprayer as recommended, but unfortunately came to discover that I got much of the spray along the siding of my house and have yet to find a good solution to remove the small specks of dark brown deck sealer without damaging my siding. What suggestions do you have?

I have an area of weeds and unwanted plants about 300 sq ft. I have used a little bit if plant killer, but I am thinking of adding some pure salt on top to kill all the plants. If I wait a while and spread some manure, will the salt eventually leach out and will I be able to plant some trees there? In like 6 months?

I'm getting an area rug for college and REALLY want a soft one. What material(s) would you recommend the carpet be made of? I'd also not like to not have to spend too much (maybe about $100 for a 6' X 8' rug?), if that changes your answer. Thanks!

Does anyone know if I can lay ciramic tile over the dull worn out linoleum floor in my kitchen? I don't want to peel up the linolium because of the insane amount of labor it will take, and make the sub floor un even. any suggestions? Will tiles still stick to this material?

Thanks!
