My son tripped over a fan cord that was attached to the wall socket. The socket came out of the wall about 1/2 inch (plate and all). I tried to push it back in but it seems stuck. There are some type of metal clamps on each side of the socket. It just won't budge. I tried pulling it out a little more to see if something was stuck, but I can't move it. Is it safe to force the socket back into the wall? We currently live in Germany so not sure if sockets here are different (I know it's 220V). I know nothing about electricity or anything like that! HOw can I get the socket back into the wall?

I want to put up fencing to keep neighbor dogs and coyotes off my property, but know little about it. I won't be keeping animals inside - just protecting my cats and garden from predators.

I bought 4' high woven wire field fencing, and 34 six-foot t-posts. My land is hilly, and the fence will be climbing up and down its entire length. It is soft dirt in spots, hard clay in others, with no rocks anywhere I've seen.

Some places say wooden corner braces are unnecessary, that you can make braces from t-posts using the right widgets. I'm interested in that, because you wouldn't have to dig post holes. However, no site describes how to tension this sort of "t-post only" field fence.

Let's say I did install wooden corner braces, and try to tension the fence. How could I tension that, with the land being as uneven as it is?

Is tensioning even necesary in this situation? Maybe just rounding the corners would work.

I'd rather maintain my septic system if possible - better than having problems later. RidX says it should be used once a month (which, of course, would mean they get $$$). Is that really true? What is the best way to maintain the septic system? Thanks!

I have to replace my thermostat and I don't know if it's a headache to do so myself. How many screws are holding it in place? Is there a special tool for the job?

I have not used this fireplace for 4 years. However, since it is gas burning with ceramic logs, I don't think there would be any build-up in the chimney. I want to use it this winter but don't know if the chimney needs to be cleaned first.
