the cost would depend on access to the tree, height of the tree, width of the tree and where you live.

these all factor in becuase the heights determines if they will have to use a climber to top out the tree or a bucket. location determines if they can get their larger equipment to it how far they have to carry to load the limbs and base of tree. width of tree will factor in on how many trips they will have to take to remove the tree from the property and if they will have a stump grinder to get rid of the stump or if they will have to bring in a backhoe to dig it out.

where you live will factor in becuase somewhere like NY it cost more to do everything where as if you live in KY it would be cheaper.

also if the tree is a hardwood the price might go down becuase they might turn it into firewood and sell what they remove.

all of these will factor in to the price so the price range without seeing the tree would be a large range i would say lowest 1500.00 to 5k depending on factors.

At least $300.00. But, your cost is going to be to have a bucket loader come in and dig out the stump and roots. If you don't get them out - you'll be wasting your time. Even though the tree is down the roots will keep growing if you don't remove the stump and most of the roots. Don't put this job off. It will end up costing you thousands if you let it continue growing. Good Luck.

You may get some help from your homeowner's insurance company. If the tree is endangering the home, and it could damage the house, that repair would be far costlier than paying for professional tree removal. Call you insurance company to see if they agree and will pay or pay for some after your deductible.

Near the house, can run $1,000.00 up. It must be cut from top down, then the root system killed. Drilling a hole into the stump, apply salt. The roots will die.
