My husband and I have two burgundy, leather, Lay Z Boy recliners and a couch in our living room. They are about 7 years old and still in great shape. My husband will not part with his, but I am ready for something new. What should I replace it with. Also, are recliners totally "out of style." Someone made that comment to me a while back.

I have recently purchased several irons for my wife. None of them get hot like the old one she had. They are all steam irons and have the nonstick plate. Has anyone else had this problem? I have tried GE, Black and Decker, and Sunbeam. None of them get hot enough to use the adhesive hem tape.

We have dried fruit tree logs that has been laying in the backyard. I would like to use them for fire when I go camping. I don't want to use them if they give off too much sparks. The campsite is pretty dry and I don't want to cause any fires. I've look online for answers but all I read is about maple trees for fire. Can anyone help? Thanks for answering!

Ok my grandparents had this empty plant pot sitting out on their back porch along with lots of other pots that had various plants in them. Then one day this weird plant started growing in ALL the pots including the empty one. They don't know where it came from but my grandpa (being the paranoid one he is) thought it might be illegal. So can you tell me what it possibly is? Here are 2 pictures I took with my phone of it.

I was thinking something along the lines of 1/8 inch thick plate steel for the box, welded and lag bolted to a steel ibeam sunk about 8 feet with concrete poured around the base.

Anyone else have ideas?
Our box and pole has been stolen/smashed/whatever more than 30 times in the past 5 years.

Never been able to catch anyone.

I once chained a rubber mailbox (the ones that are supposed to be indestructable) to the telephone pole and it stayed for a while, until one morning when I walked out to a pile of goop melted around the chain....

Anyway, if anyone thinks there might be liability issues from making such a strong box, what about cars that crash into telephone poles? I've never seen a utility company sued over that. Plus mailboxes are federal property I believe.

Anyway, if there's still a liability issue about that couldn't I just have guard rail put around the box?

It's for a wedding reception. I've seen things like this before (example; at Christmas a lot of people have "Santa" displayed on their house), but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. Instead of the regular flashing lights on the dance floor, I want a "S". Anyone know of any website I can search? Or even what this is called?
Thanks!!

My brothers neigbours have recently built an extension to the front of their house. The problem is the bricks are a completely different colour to the rest of the house and its an eyesore. From my brother's lounge its all you can see. He doesn't want to speak to the man who lives there as he's not a friendly person. Is there anything he can do legitimately about this without revealing his identity. All his other neigbours feel the same but don't want to talk to the man. He lives in the uk. Any help would be appreciated.
