Some charge per job, and some charge per day, they work out how many days its going to take them, and how much they want per day.

The price varies according to areas, but on average anything from £90 - £130 per day.

If you go with a firm they tend to charge more , sometimes its better to go with someone who works on thier own.

If you choose a 'dulux approved' decorator, they tend to charge more.

I am a painter & normally charge between £90-£120 a room depending on size of rooms,as I can generally do a room a day.

a couple of the answers already given are about right ..all though myself i all ways pay a bit more than this ..i believe that the painters has one of the lowest paid and yet one of the hardest jobs in the building trade ..he is the guy who has to cover every body's rough work and make it look good ..he would have to be a really good painter to earn £150a day

They give prices per job not per day like if it's inside/outside what paint you want etc
