As you're sitting on the mower, the left hand side steering arm keeps popping off the ball that holds it on. How can I fix this problem? Can I just replace the ball part and pop the steering arm on again? Thanks.

I am thinking about doing it myself. It is fairly new carpet. Would a professional cleaning be better? Can I do as good a job myself?

I live in Florida. My huband bought me a beautiful bird of paradise plant this past mother's day. This plant was purchased at a flower shop supposedly facing a southern exposure. I placed it in my house in a ceiling to floor window facing north. I'm not a plant novice, so this one has me perplexed. It has started to decline and it seems that everything I'm reading regarding their care is controversial. Should they be watered deeply and allowed to dry out or should they be kept moist? Should they have bright light or full sun? I've since moved it outside in some sun, but the leaves are now starting to curl???

My brick patio has an ant problem. I've pulled all the weeds that pop up between the bricks, I've tried vinegar, I've tried this powder insecticide that just left the patio a mess (and more importantly, didn't work!) I don't even want to sit out there 'cause I'm freaked out ants will crawl up the patio furniture. Can somebody recommend something to use on them that will get rid of them? I don't have them in the house (yet), but I'm thinking that as close as they are to the house, it's only a matter of time!

I have this lawn mower that has a problem staying running, after i prime it 3/4 times it turns on then after only a few seconds it turns off. I changed the spark plug and it seems to be passing sparks fine. I thinks its the carburetor that is not passing gas. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix it and if i were to take off the caburetor would it be a hasle to put it back on. The lawn mower is a weed eater 4.75hp and i've only had it for about a year.

My house was extended when I bought it and has a raised patio for which there was planning permission. I want to erect a small conservatory (2m by 3.2m), so will I need to seek further planning permission to do this? I got conflicting advice from two different conservatory companies. Thanks.

I painted my son's room yesterday and peeled off the paint today. I already hear you paint veterans groaning. Anyhow, I've got chunks of white wall where there should be a vibrant green. This is after the first coat of Behr semi-gloss interior. How do I fix it? I've been sanding as much as possible but am lost where to go next.

When picked, they appeared ripe, but since I wasn't ready to use, them I left them in a basket on the counter, out of the sun. Only one of them turned red, but why. Will this make it hotter, milder or not affect the "heat"?

The receptacles are on the backsplash of a 10ft. bar housed by the framework. Do I need the receptacles to be in the weatherproof boxes/cover or can I use the cheap blue boxes with covers? What is my best option?
PS Yes, I am planning on introducing a GFCI.
